STF4169 is an 18GHz fractional N frequency synthesizer with modulation and fast waveform generation capabilities. The device uses a fixed modulus of 25 bits to provide sub hertz frequency resolution.
STF4169 can achieve programmable modular decimal N frequency division. The INT and FRAC registers can form a total N divider (N=INT+(FRAC/225)).
STF4169 can be used to achieve frequency shift keying (FSK) modulation. There are also some available frequency scanning modes that can generate various waveforms in the frequency domain, such as sawtooth and triangular waves, for automatic scanning. STF4169 has the function of inserting 8-bit FSK modulation signals between two adjacent slopes, which can improve anti-interference ability.
STF4169 can further shorten the locking time without modifying the loop filter. All on chip registers are controlled through a simple three wire interface. STF4169 uses a single power supply from 3.0 V to 3.45 V, which can be turned off when not in use.
