When combined with an external loop filter and an external reference frequency, STF2594 can achieve fractional N division or integer N division phase-locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesis.
STF2594 has an integrated voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) with a fundamental output frequency range of 3.5GHz to 7GHz, respectively. STF2594 has a 2-fold frequency. The chip can utilize a 1/2/4/8/16/32/64 frequency divider circuit to generate RF output frequencies as low as 56 MHz.
For applications with high isolation requirements, the RF output stage can achieve mute. The mute function can be controlled through registers. At the same time as doubling frequency output, the chip also provides auxiliary RF output, and can be turned off when not in use.
All on chip registers are controlled through a simple three wire SPI interface. The optional functions of the chip can be configured through SPI, and the SPI input port is 3.3 V CMOS digital logic.
The device is powered by a 3.0V to 3.6V power supply, and the chip has an internal LDO, but it is still recommended to use low noise DC power supply.
The chip is packaged with 48 pin LGA, with a nominal operating temperature range from -40 ℃ to+105 ℃.
